Children Of War Benefit
Artist MUNK ONE is donating 2 pieces of work for a silent auction to support "Children of War" documentary film which follows the plight of child soldiers in Uganda in an effort to raise awareness of their traumatic situation.
Soseh Keshishyan and her band Element are hosting a benefit at Notte Luna, 113 N. Maryland Ave, Glendale, CA 91206 from 8pm on Thursday 2 April 2009. Tickets are $20.00 pre-sale and are available at http://www.itsmyseat.com $25 at the door. Eclectic music spun by DJ Remy. 21+ to drink. Featuring artwork donated by Vahe Berberian, Vachag, Sev, Farzad Karimi, Upper Playground, Sam, Saghatelian, Roobo, Jon Dragonette, Munk One, Edik Hacobian and more. Please come along and help support this worthy cause.

The film is Directed by Bryan Single and Produced by Farzad Karimi and Shannon McBrien. The film follows a group of former children soldiers after their escape from the Lord's Resistance Army and into the rehabilitation center. The production company needs to raise enough money (approx. $8,000.00) to pay for the BBC archive footage of Joseph Kony in order to release the film. The footage is over ten years old and is the ONLY footage ever shot of the rebel leader. It is necessary to include this footage in the film in order to properly tell the haunting story of these children of war.
